Newly appointed Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has expressed his unwavering commitment to his new role, emphasizing that challenges he may encounter will not deter him. During his Sunday message to the people of Fiji, Mr. Tudravu stated, “Come what may, the one bus, one river will not stop or be distracted.”

He offered blessings by saying, “God be glorified in all areas, let love prevail on earth and with humanity.” Mr. Tudravu expressed his gratitude for his appointment by the Government, noting his extensive experience in policing. He stated, “I am honored to be appointed by Government and I am no stranger to this field of policing.”

Mr. Tudravu’s tenure as Police Commissioner will officially begin on February 3, 2025. He brings a wealth of experience, having served for 39 years in the Fiji Police Force, including a period as Deputy Commissioner and acting Commissioner during Brig-Gen Qiliho’s absence for overseas studies in the UK.

Mr. Tudravu’s determination and faith seem to inspire a sense of hope within the community, signaling a positive outlook for his leadership in the Fiji Police Force. His references to unity and love serve as reminders of the collective strength that can arise in the face of adversity.
