Tropical Disturbance 03F has been assessed by the Fiji Meteorological Service to have a low to moderate probability of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 to 48 hours. Currently situated near Samoa, the disturbance is anticipated to shift southeastward toward Tonga within the next day.

According to the Fiji Met, global weather models are tracking the system and predict some degree of intensification as it continues its path. The disturbance is currently part of the active South Pacific Convergence Zone, contributing to extensive showers and thunderstorms affecting regions such as Samoa, American Samoa, Tokelau, Tuvalu, and the Northern Islands of Tonga.

If this system continues to develop, it may bring challenging weather conditions to Tonga and Niue in the days ahead. Fortunately, the Fiji Meteorological Service has stated that this disturbance does not pose any threat to Fiji.

This situation highlights the importance of ongoing monitoring by meteorological services, which helps ensure that affected regions are prepared for potential impacts. As weather patterns evolve, communities can remain hopeful for improved forecasts and effective responses to any challenges that may arise.
