Tropical Disturbance 01F was reported this morning, located approximately 80 kilometers north-northeast of Suva and about 190 kilometers northwest of Moala at 3 AM. The disturbance has already passed over Tavua-Rakiraki around 1 AM and is now moving eastward at a speed of 20 km/h, relocating away from the islands.

The Fiji Meteorological Service continues to issue a heavy rain warning for the Northern Division, Lomaiviti, and Lau group. However, the prior heavy rain warning for the Yasawa and Mamanuca group, as well as Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, has been lifted.

The associated trough of low pressure linked to TD01F is expected to bring residual cloud and rainfall to some areas of the country, affecting them until later today. Residents in the Northern Division, Lomaiviti, and Lau group can anticipate occasional rain, with heavy bursts at times, along with possible thunderstorms. It is predicted that the rain will gradually decrease to showers as the day progresses.

In conclusion, while the heavy rain warning has been lifted for many areas, vigilance remains crucial for those in the affected regions. As the system continues to move away from Fiji, there is hope for improved weather conditions in the coming days. This situation serves as a reminder of the impact of tropical disturbances and the importance of preparedness in the face of changing weather patterns.
