Fiji’s Taekwondo representative, Venice Traill, faced a setback at the 2024 Paris Olympics, losing to Great Britain’s world number three, Rebecca McGowan. Despite this defeat, Traill expressed pride in being among the first athletes to compete for Fiji in Taekwondo at the Olympic level.

In an emotional reflection, the 27-year-old declared this would be her only Olympic appearance, as she plans to transition into coaching to support and mentor aspiring young athletes who aim to compete at the Olympics. Traill expressed her gratitude towards her family and teammates for their unwavering support throughout her Olympic journey.
