The trial for former Fiji Airways chief customer services officer Shaenaz Voss has been scheduled for October 15 and 16 this year. Voss appeared before Magistrate Vinti Prasad on August 12 to face charges related to the alleged unlawful carriage of firearms on a domestic flight.

It is claimed that on October 8, 2018, at Nausori Airport, Voss did not adhere to the Fiji Link Operation Airline Security Program requirements while aboard domestic flight FJ 32. Her attorney, Devanesh Sharma, attended the court session for the continuation of a pre-trial conference, during which the Director of Public Prosecutions requested additional time.

In April of the previous year, Voss entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of failing to comply with the operator’s airline program requirements. She is scheduled to return to court on September 26 to address the charges.
