A trial date has been scheduled for a 30-year-old man accused of murdering his pregnant wife. Apisai Madigibuli, who was denied bail during a previous hearing, appeared before Suva Judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere this morning. The charges against Mr. Madigibuli stem from an alleged incident on April 25 of this year, where he is accused of fatally stabbing his wife, Kitiana Baravilala, with a knife.

The trial is set to take place from July 21 to August 1 next year, while a pretrial conference has been adjourned until December 19.

This case has drawn significant attention, and the upcoming trial will be crucial in determining the truth and ensuring justice for the victim and her family. As the legal process unfolds, there is hope that it may lead to a greater awareness of domestic violence issues and support for those in need.
