Three individuals were taken into custody yesterday for drug-related offenses following distinct police operations in Lautoka and Nadi.
In the first operation, the Police K-9 Unit intercepted a 26-year-old mechanic from Sabeto Central and a 32-year-old resident of Duna Place, Nadi, along Waiyavi in Lautoka. During their search, authorities found two clear plastic bags containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine.
In a separate incident, a Public Service Vehicle driver from Cunningham was arrested after police discovered marijuana seedlings in his possession. A follow-up raid at his residence, conducted by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit alongside the Police K-9 Unit, revealed additional marijuana seedlings.
All three suspects are currently held in police custody as investigations continue into these drug-related activities.
