The Fiji Head Teachers Association has been urged to develop actionable solutions to support children and enhance education in Fiji. Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro made this statement during the 41st Fiji Head Teachers Association Conference at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort in Denarau.

Radrodro emphasized the importance of creating an inspiring environment that encourages children’s creative thinking and nurtures them into future leaders. “You are tasked to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation, and I encourage you all to think about the need to empower your students to be independent thinkers,” he stated.

He highlighted the significance of teamwork for social unity, stressing that it’s essential to guide children in developing a sense of purpose, vision, and direction.

School leaders were encouraged to extend their influence beyond classroom teaching and to engage with children and their families in the community. “Be a transformative leader. The government has invested in you to lead your schools, and we should create an educational landscape where every student can thrive, every teacher can excel, and every community can flourish,” Radrodro concluded.
