A man in his 20s has died from burns received during a fire while working on a yacht in Nadi, according to the Fiji Police Force. The incident occurred on Monday when the victim, who was performing maintenance with a 24-year-old colleague at a yacht in Denarau, reportedly experienced an explosion in the engine compartment, leading to injuries for both workers. They were taken to Nadi Hospital and subsequently transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries last night. The 24-year-old remains hospitalized in critical condition. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
