Tragic Yacht Fire Claims Young Man’s Life in Fiji

A man in his 20s has died from burns incurred during a fire while working on a yacht in Nadi on Monday, according to the Fiji Police Force. The incident occurred as the victim was performing maintenance on the yacht in Denarau alongside a 24-year-old colleague when it is reported that the engine compartment exploded, resulting in burns for both individuals. They were quickly taken to Nadi Hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries the following night. The 24-year-old is currently hospitalized in critical condition. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
