A man in his 20s has died from severe burns he suffered in a fire while working on a yacht in Nadi on Monday, according to the Fiji Police Force. The incident occurred while the victim and a 24-year-old colleague were performing maintenance on the yacht in Denarau when the engine compartment reportedly exploded, causing burns to both workers. They were swiftly taken to Nadi Hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries the following night. The 24-year-old colleague is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
