Raiwaqa Police are conducting an investigation into the death of a woman who was reportedly severely injured by her partner.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon on Nailuva Road, prompting a call to Raiwaqa Police after the victim was discovered motionless in their home.
According to initial reports, the couple had a verbal altercation during which the suspect allegedly used an object to strike the victim, leading to her death.
A woman residing with the couple communicated the events to her partner, which led to a formal report being filed.
The suspect has since fled the scene, and police are actively searching for him.
Investigations are ongoing, and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the official cause of death.
