A man in his forties tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident in Navaga, located in Navosa. The incident took place yesterday morning after 10 a.m. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the victim was driving a truck loaded with gravel when he reportedly lost control while descending a hill, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

This unfortunate event brings the national road death toll to 60 this year, a decrease from 74 fatalities during the same period last year.

While this report highlights a tragic loss, it also signals a potential downward trend in road fatalities, indicating that increased awareness and safety measures might be having a positive impact.
