A man in his 40s has tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident in Navaga, Navosa. The incident, which occurred yesterday morning after 10 am, involved the victim driving a truck loaded with gravel. As he descended a hill, he reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, the national road death toll currently stands at 60, a decrease from 74 in the same period last year.

This incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of road safety and awareness, particularly in challenging driving conditions. It highlights the need for both drivers and authorities to prioritize vehicle maintenance and road safety measures to prevent such tragic occurrences in the future.
