A 19-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident that occurred in Lautoka in the early hours of the morning. She was one of four passengers in a vehicle operated by a 24-year-old driver. Reports suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling along Queens Road near Navutu, leading to the car veering off the road and crashing into a post. The young woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the driver and the other three passengers were transported to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they are currently in serious condition. As of now, the national road death toll has reached 42, a decrease from the 63 fatalities reported during the same period last year.
