A 20-year-old man from Matanagata, Tavua, lost his life in a road accident on Saturday morning along Kings Road in Naviyago, Lautoka. The incident involved a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old man, who is reported to have lost control, resulting in the vehicle crashing into the railing of the Naviyago bridge and falling into the river. Both the victim and another passenger were transported to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival. The current road death toll is 41, a decrease from 63 during the same timeframe last year.
