A 27-year-old man has become Fiji’s latest victim of a road accident that occurred in Rakiraki along Kings Road on Tuesday. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the man was a passenger in a vehicle that was being driven by a 28-year-old, alongside two other individuals. All three occupants were transported to Rakiraki Hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver and one passenger received treatment and were released, while another passenger was transferred to Lautoka Hospital. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and the current road death toll stands at 38, a decrease from 62 at the same time last year.
