A man is thought to be the latest road traffic fatality in the country following an incident in Nasinu yesterday.
According to a statement from the Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, it is reported that the victim unexpectedly crossed the road at the Laqere Bridge in the afternoon and was struck by a vehicle operated by a 29-year-old driver.
SSP Divuana mentioned that the victim was swiftly taken to the Valelevu Health Centre, where he was sadly declared dead upon arrival.
He added that investigations are ongoing, and the driver will be interviewed once the post-mortem examination is completed.
