A tragic accident has claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy, Mosese Vulavula, just days before his graduation from Nausori Primary School. The incident occurred on a rainy Monday afternoon when a truck, reportedly driven by a 21-year-old, collided with the vehicle in which Mosese was riding with his parents along Princes Rd in Tacirua.
Mosese’s father, Iliesa Vulavula, explained that they were on their way home after picking up another son when the crash took place. He expressed the shock and sorrow of the family, particularly highlighted by the loss felt as they were preparing for Mosese’s graduation, set for Thursday. His mother, Suliana, remembered her son as a reserved and thoughtful boy, expressing her deep pain over the dreams they had for his future.
In the midst of their grief, the Vulavula family urged all drivers to prioritize road safety. Mr. Vulavula implored others to recognize the importance of life, reminding everyone that it only takes one moment to change everything.
This heart-wrenching story serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of safety on the roads. While the family mourns their loss, they find solace in their faith, believing that Mosese is in a better place.
As the community comes together to remember Mosese, there is hope that this tragedy will encourage greater awareness of road safety, potentially saving lives in the future.
