The partner of a 45-year-old man who died after an accident at the Laqere Bridge in Nasinu last Sunday spoke fondly of him, describing him as a kind individual. Shelly Singh recounted that she was on a call with Bisun Lal when she suddenly heard a loud noise, followed by silence on the line. She attempted to call him back, but it went unanswered.
Authorities reported that Mr. Lal had allegedly crossed the road unexpectedly when he was struck by a vehicle operated by a 29-year-old driver. Mitieli Divuana, the Director of Traffic and Senior Superintendent of Police, confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and the driver will be questioned following the completion of the post-mortem examination.
