A tragic accident resulted in the death of a 1-year-old child yesterday.
Police report that the child was with his mother outside their home in Davuilevu Housing when an old coconut tree fell on him.
The child was quickly taken to Nakasi Health Center, but was unfortunately pronounced dead upon arrival.
Investigations are ongoing.
