Tragic Early Morning Crash Claims Young Life in Lautoka

A 19-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident in Lautoka early this morning. She was one of four passengers in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old when, according to reports, the driver lost control of the car near Navutu on Queens Road. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a post. The young woman was declared dead at the scene, while the driver and the other passengers were transported to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they are all reported to be in serious condition. This incident brings the national road death toll to 42 for the year, a decrease from 63 deaths during the same period last year.
