A 19-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident in Lautoka early this morning. The incident occurred when the vehicle she was in, driven by a 24-year-old man, reportedly lost control while traveling along Queens Road near Navutu, causing the car to leave the roadway and crash into a post. The young woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and three other passengers were taken to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they are in serious condition. So far this year, the national road death toll has reached 42, a decrease from 63 fatalities during the same period last year.
