The body of a five-year-old boy who drowned in Waidra, Baulevu, near the Rewa River has been found this morning. Senior Superintendent of Police Joape Cakacaka, the Divisional Police Commander Eastern, confirmed that the boy was swimming at the time of the incident. The Fiji Police Force is urging parents to keep a close watch on their children, particularly with the cyclone season and school holidays nearing. Additionally, the police expressed their appreciation to the Goneturaga na Vunivalu of Kasavu and surrounding communities for their assistance during the search effort.
