Lance Seeto, a notable chef and restaurant owner, was found dead in his Suva home today. Isoa Natui, the Acting Divisional Police Commander Central, confirmed the discovery of his body on Clarke Street this morning.
The police have stated that the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear at this point. A colleague reported the situation to the Totogo Police Station after they were unable to reach him and decided to check on him. Upon arrival, the colleague found Seeto lying motionless and immediately notified the authorities.
Officers from the Crime Scene Investigations Unit were dispatched to the location to initiate the investigation process.
Seeto was celebrated as a prominent figure in South Pacific cuisine and worked with tourism partners to enhance Fiji’s profile as a culinary destination. His television show, “Taste of Paradise,” was recognized as a finalist at the 2016 Asia Broadcasting Union awards.
