Lance Seeto, a well-known chef and restaurant owner, was found dead at his home in Suva today. Acting Divisional Police Commander Central, Isoa Natui, confirmed that his body was discovered in his residence on Clarke Street this morning.
The police have stated that the circumstances surrounding his death are currently unclear. The Totogo Police Station received a report from a colleague who visited Seeto’s home after numerous attempts to contact him had been unsuccessful. Upon arrival, the colleague found Seeto unresponsive and promptly notified the authorities.
Members of the Crime Scene Investigations Unit have been dispatched to the location to begin the initial investigation process. Chef Seeto was celebrated for his contributions to South Pacific cuisine and played a pivotal role in promoting Fiji as a culinary destination alongside tourism stakeholders. His television series, “Taste of Paradise,” was recognized as a finalist in the 2016 Asia Broadcasting Union awards.
