Two individuals have lost their lives in a vehicle accident on Wailoaloa Road in Nadi this morning. The victims were passengers in a car driven by a 30-year-old man from Lovu in Lautoka. Reports suggest that the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle, which led to losing control and ultimately the crash. The two passengers died at the scene, while three others were taken to Nadi Hospital with serious injuries. Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, indicated that preliminary investigations suggest speeding and alcohol may have contributed to the accident.
