Actress and model Dayle Haddon has tragically passed away due to a carbon monoxide leak at a residence in Pennsylvania, while another individual is hospitalized.

Haddon, renowned for her work with iconic brands such as Estée Lauder and L’Oréal, graced the covers of prestigious magazines like Sports Illustrated and Vogue Paris during her career in the 1970s. Authorities reported receiving an emergency call early Friday morning about a 76-year-old man who had collapsed in a detached building on the property.

The police investigation revealed the 76-year-old woman found unresponsive in a second-floor bedroom was Haddon. The man, identified as Walter J. Blucas, is currently in critical condition at a hospital in New Jersey. He is related to Haddon through her daughter, Ryan Haddon, who owns the home alongside her husband, actor Marc Blucas.

An initial analysis pointed to a defective exhaust pipe in the building’s heating system as the source of the carbon monoxide leak. The dangerous levels of gas not only affected the residents but also harmed first responders, leading to two medics being hospitalized and a police officer requiring treatment on-site.

Haddon, originally from Quebec, Canada, began her journey as a ballerina before transitioning to a successful modeling career and later acting. Her film credits include roles in “The World’s Greatest Athlete” (1973) and “North Dallas Forty” (1979).

This unfortunate incident highlights the importance of maintaining household appliances and ensuring proper ventilation systems to prevent similar tragedies. While the loss of Haddon is deeply felt, her legacy in the modeling and acting industries will continue to inspire many.

The community’s support for the Haddon family during this difficult time can provide some comfort amidst their grief.
