A tragic incident occurred on Monday night in Naduna, Labasa, where a 16-year-old boy named Shalvin Lal lost his life in a car accident. Lal, a resident of Tuatua, Labasa, had left his home around 12:30 PM to pick up a relative. Reports suggest he was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a culvert.
Sadly, Lal was pronounced dead at the scene, with his body later discovered by the relative he was on his way to meet. The Acting Divisional Police Commander North, Superintendent Eroni Soqosoqo, confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation is underway. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place today.
