Tragic Cane Fire Incident Claims Life of Local Man

A man in Ba has died from injuries sustained while attempting to extinguish a cane fire. Rang Nadan Naicker, 69, from Navoli, was injured on September 3, according to his brother, Gopal Naicker. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed that Mr. Naicker received burns while using a tractor to fight the fire. He was hospitalized at the Ba Aspen Hospital Burns Ward, where he eventually passed away.
