Tragic Accident: Woman Released on Bail After Fatal Crash

A 36-year-old woman has been granted bail after being charged with Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death following a fatal accident on Queens Road on August 18, 2024. The woman appeared in Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday, where she faced charges in connection with the incident. It is alleged that she lost control of her vehicle near Viseisei Bypass, causing it to leave the road and strike a post. The collision resulted in her vehicle rebounding onto the road and colliding with another car. Tragically, a 75-year-old woman who was traveling with her succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The case is set to resume on October 15, 2024.
