A tragic accident occurred in Naduna, Labasa on Monday night, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Shalvin Lal from Tuatua, Labasa. Shalvin left his home around 12:30 PM to pick up a relative. Witness reports suggest that he was driving at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle, veering off the road and colliding with a culvert. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene, and his relative later discovered his vehicle.
Acting Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, has confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway. A post-mortem examination is anticipated to take place today.
