A tragic accident in Naduna, Labasa has claimed the life of 16-year-old Shalvin Lal. The young resident of Tuatua was reportedly on his way to pick up a relative when the incident occurred on Monday night. It is believed that while driving, he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and struck a culvert.
First responders found him deceased at the scene, shortly after he was expected to arrive to meet his relative. Acting Divisional Police Commander for North, Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, has confirmed that an investigation is currently underway. A post-mortem examination is set to take place today to determine the exact cause of death.
