A man in his 60s has sadly passed away following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Lautoka last night. The incident took place on Paipai Road, where the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it veering off the road and landing in a nearby creek.
Both the driver and his passenger, a man in his 70s, were quickly transported to Lautoka Hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The passenger, however, remains hospitalized and is receiving medical care.
A post-mortem examination is planned to establish the exact cause of death, and ongoing investigations are being conducted to understand the circumstances surrounding the crash.
