The partner of a 45-year-old man who died in an accident at the Laqere Bridge in Nasinu last Sunday described him as a kind individual. Shelly Singh shared that she was on the phone with Bisun Lal when she suddenly heard a loud noise followed by silence. “I tried calling back, but it just kept ringing,” she recounted.
According to police reports, Mr. Lal allegedly crossed the road unexpectedly at the Laqere Bridge and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old. Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, who oversees traffic, stated that investigations are ongoing, and the driver will be questioned once the post-mortem examination is completed.
