The partner of a 45-year-old man who lost his life in an accident at Laqere Bridge in Nasinu last Sunday described him as a kind person. Shelly Singh recounted that she was on the phone with Bisun Lal when she suddenly heard a loud noise, followed by silence on the line. She attempted to call him back, but her calls went unanswered.
According to police reports, Mr. Lal allegedly crossed the road unexpectedly at Laqere Bridge and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old. Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, Director of Traffic, stated that investigations are ongoing, and the driver will be questioned after the post-mortem examination is completed.
