The body of a 5-year-old boy who drowned in Waidra, Baulevu, along the Rewa River was recovered this morning. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Joape Cakacaka, the boy was swimming when the tragic incident took place. The Fiji Police Force is reminding parents to keep a close watch on their children, especially with the cyclone season and school holidays approaching. They also extended their thanks to the Goneturaga na Vunivalu of Kasavu and local communities for their assistance in the search efforts.
