A tragic incident early in the morning claimed the lives of a man and a woman in Kulukulu, Sigatoka. The accident took place around 2 AM when it is reported that the driver, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, failed to navigate a bend while driving towards Sigatoka Town, resulting in a collision with an electric post.

The two victims died on-site, and two other occupants of the vehicle are currently receiving treatment in the hospital. In response to this unfortunate event, Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, who leads the Traffic and Transport Control division, expressed his sorrow, highlighting that this marks the second fatal accident in the area within just 24 hours.

SSP Divuana emphasized the importance of responsible driving, urging all motorists to prioritize the safety of themselves, their passengers, and pedestrians.
