The partner of a 45-year-old man who lost his life in an accident at the Laqere Bridge in Nasinu last Sunday described him as a kind individual. Shelly Singh recalled being on the phone with Bisun Lal when she heard a loud noise and then the line went silent. “I tried calling back, but it just kept ringing,” she said. According to police reports, Mr. Lal allegedly crossed the road suddenly and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old. Senior Superintendent of Police and Director of Traffic, Mitieli Divuana, stated that the investigation is ongoing, and the driver will be questioned following the completion of the post-mortem examination.
