A tragic motor vehicle incident in Nabua has resulted in the death of a 14-year-old student, and the man implicated in the accident has also passed away under distressing circumstances. The 54-year-old suspect, who was brought to the Nabua Police Station for questioning, reported feeling unwell and was subsequently transferred to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, where he died the following morning.
The initial accident occurred when the suspect allegedly lost control of his vehicle, striking the young boy while he was waiting at a traffic light. Reports indicate that the vehicle collided with a bus before veering off course. Despite prompt medical attention, the student sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Authorities are conducting a post-mortem examination on both the student and the suspect to clarify their causes of death. This unfortunate incident has raised significant concerns regarding road safety, particularly for vulnerable pedestrians like children.
