The partner of a 45-year-old man who lost his life in an accident at Laqere Bridge in Nasinu last Sunday described him as a compassionate individual. Shelly Singh recounted that she was on the phone with Bisun Lal when she heard a sudden loud noise, after which the line went silent. “I tried calling back, but it just kept ringing,” she said.

According to police reports, Mr. Lal allegedly crossed the road abruptly at the Laqere Bridge and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old. Mitieli Divuana, the Director of Traffic and Senior Superintendent of Police, stated that investigations are ongoing, and the driver will be interviewed following the completion of the post-mortem examination.
