Dayle Haddon, renowned actress and model, has tragically passed away following a carbon monoxide leak in a Pennsylvania home. Authorities confirmed the incident has also left another individual hospitalized.

Haddon, who was 76 years old, had an illustrious career, modeling for prestigious brands such as Estée Lauder and L’Oréal, and gracing the covers of iconic magazines like Sports Illustrated and Vogue Paris during the 1970s.

Emergency services received a call early Friday morning about a 76-year-old man who had collapsed inside a self-contained building in Bucks County. Upon arrival, responders found Haddon deceased in a second-floor bedroom. The man, identified as Walter J. Blucas, is reported to be in critical condition at a hospital in New Jersey. He is connected to Haddon through family ties, as he is the father-in-law of Haddon’s daughter, Ryan Haddon, who owns the home along with her husband, actor Marc Blucas.

A preliminary investigation indicated that a faulty exhaust pipe from the heating system is to blame for the lethal carbon monoxide leak. Authorities reported that emergency responders were also affected by the high levels of carbon monoxide, with two medics requiring hospitalization and a police officer treated on-site.

Haddon’s journey began in Quebec, Canada, where she initially pursued a career in ballet before transitioning into modeling and acting. Her film credits include notable works like The World’s Greatest Athlete and North Dallas Forty.

This incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers of carbon monoxide, highlighting the importance of safety measures in homes, particularly during the colder months when heating systems are in use.

In light of this tragic event, it is essential for families to ensure regular maintenance checks of their heating systems to prevent similar accidents in the future.
