The partner of a 45-year-old man who lost his life in an accident at the Laqere Bridge in Nasinu last Sunday described him as a compassionate individual. Shelly Singh recounted that she was speaking with Bisun Lal when she heard a sudden loud noise, after which the phone went silent. “I tried calling back, but it just kept ringing,” she stated.
According to the police report, Mr. Lal allegedly crossed the road abruptly at the Laqere Bridge and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old. Senior Superintendent (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, Director of Traffic Police, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that the driver will be interviewed once the post-mortem examination is completed.
