The recent weekend saw a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers of speeding on the roads, as two separate incidents claimed the lives of two individuals in Fiji. Both accidents, occurring in Korolevu, Sigatoka, and Wairuku, Ra, reportedly involved drivers losing control of their vehicles, leading them to veer off the road.
Irimaia Rokosawa, Chief Executive of the Land Transport Authority (LTA), extended his condolences to the bereaved families and underscored the crucial importance of adhering to speed limits and exercising control while driving. He emphasized that these basic safety practices can be the decisive factors between life and death on the roads.
