A 19-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a road accident early in the morning in Lautoka. She was one of four passengers in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old along the Queens Road near Navutu. It is reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to swerve off the road and collide with a post. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the driver and the other three passengers were taken to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they remain in serious condition. The national road death toll now stands at 42, a decrease from 63 during the same period last year.
