Two individuals have lost their lives in a vehicle accident on Wailoaloa Road in Nadi this morning. The victims were passengers in a car driven by a 30-year-old man from Lovu in Lautoka. According to reports, the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle and subsequently lost control, leading to the crash. The two deceased were pronounced dead at the scene, while three other passengers were transported to Nadi Hospital due to serious injuries. Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the Director of Traffic, indicated that preliminary findings suggest that speeding and alcohol may have contributed to the accident.
