Kumar was honored in Fijian community pages on Facebook, where friends and family recalled his dedication and strong morals, saying he “never turned back to say no” to others. He was the cherished son of Mr. and Mrs. Muttu Sami Dadua from Lauwaki Settlement in Lautoka, Fiji.

Friends have shared heartfelt tributes, describing Kumar as a devoted husband to Jasoda Goundar, who sustained serious injuries and is currently recovering in Middlemore Hospital. One tribute expressed the sorrow of losing him, stating, “Rest in Peace my dear bro … will be missed by all families and friends.” Another tribute extended condolences to his family, emphasizing their shared grief.

The accident has raised concerns for travelers, as police advised passengers to allocate extra time for their flights due to the ensuing traffic disruptions.
