Tourists are encountering challenges with the bus card system in Fiji, which is necessary for utilizing public transportation. This concern was brought to light by a well-known YouTuber, who boasts nearly 190,000 followers, during a recent trip from Sydney to Fiji.
In his vlog, the YouTuber recounted his struggle to board a bus in the Samabula area due to not having the required bus card. Consequently, he had to walk from his hotel to the city of Suva. He expressed his frustration by saying, “The buses are a mad vibe. I want to ride one but I need a card to ride one. The process to get a card is hard.”
This situation highlights the difficulties that visitors may face when trying to navigate public transport in a foreign country. It suggests a need for improvements in the application process for bus cards, making it more accessible for tourists.
As more tourists share their experiences, there is hope that these issues will be addressed by local authorities, leading to a more convenient and welcoming environment for visitors. This could ultimately enhance Fiji’s reputation as a tourist destination, making it easier for guests to explore the beautiful country.
