Fiji’s Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a rigorous challenge as his team gears up to face Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He refers to these matches as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide important lessons for the team.
“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they always prove to be,” stated Byrne. “We are eager to host Samoa at home before heading to Tonga, followed by our trip to Japan.”
Given both teams’ reputations for physical play and strong performances, Byrne anticipates a highly competitive atmosphere. “Both teams will bring their best, and we are excited about the challenge ahead,” he remarked.
The Fijian team is set to host Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
