The Fleming Roosters Touch Rugby revival tournament will take place at St Thomas Primary School grounds in Lautoka on September 28, with 10 spots available for men’s teams. Misa Rokovua, a committee member, shared this information in an interview with SUNsports.

Rokovua mentioned that the registration fee for each team is $100 and indicated that while two teams have confirmed their participation, they have yet to pay the registration fee. He emphasized the importance of the tournament in reviving the sport in Lautoka and highlighted its role in providing young people with a positive activity, steering them away from drugs, partying, and minor crimes.

He urged anyone interested in participating to join the tournament, even if they do not currently have a team. Additionally, Rokovua noted that the organizing committee is actively seeking sponsorships, as they are primarily responsible for funding the tournament through fundraising efforts, which can be quite challenging.

Furthermore, he expressed a desire to include a Police team in the event to raise awareness among youth about the ongoing drug crisis in the country.
